Boys & Girls Clubs of The Northwest Suburbs (BGCNWS) is a distinguished non-profit organization in Illinois dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults. Committed to nurturing the potential of every child, BGCNWS offers a comprehensive range of programs and services that support the educational, social, and physical development of more than 1,700 Club members annually.
BGCNWS operates in fifteen (13) Community Schools across Districts 300, 220, and 15, along with a Middle School Impact Center located at Perry Elementary and the Foglia Woodlands Teen Impact Center, a standalone facility serving District 220 middle and high school students and District 300 high school students. BGCNWS provides after-school programming, summer programs, and athletic leagues to youth in Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Palatine, Carpentersville, Dundee, and Barrington. Our members benefit from a variety of activities, including homework help, tutoring, nutritious meals, and enrichment programs in education and career development, character and leadership, health and life skills, sports, fitness and recreation, and the arts.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, BGCNWS is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that inspires children to achieve their full potential.
Brief History
Founded on January 13th, 1997, as Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township (BGCDT), we began as a safe place for kids after school. Today, we’ve transformed into Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs (BGCNWS), a center of opportunity committed to improving our communities and helping those who need us the most.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs, Formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township receives funding through the ISBE Nita Lowey 21st Community Centers Learning Centers.
The purpose of the Nita Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is to provide opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities in community learning centers that primarily serve students attending eligible schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township (BGCDT), doing business as Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs (BGCNWS), operates this grant in partnership with the following schools:
- Algonquin Lakes (D300) serving at our Perry Elementary location
- Eastview (D300) serving at our Perry Elementary location
- Golfview (D300)
- Jane Addams (D15)
- Lakewood (D300)
- Lake in the Hills (D300)
- Meadowdale (D300)

- Sunny Hill (D220)

Annually, BGCDT completes a continuation application to ensure the continuation of these essential after-school programs for the youth in our community who need them the most.
