Donor Spotlight: Amy Wickstrom
Amy Wickstrom has been a dedicated board member of BGCNWS—formerly BGCDT—since 2016, driven by a deep passion for empowering youth and strengthening our community. Inspired by the life-changing impact she witnessed at the Youth of the Year celebration, she has remained actively involved, helping to expand opportunities like the Impact Center for career pathways and workforce development.
Amy values the camaraderie of fellow board members and the direct connections with club members, particularly through events like the Board Blitz.
‘I think that knowing someone believes in you and your ability to achieve great things is motivating, and I want our members to feel inspired to reach their full potential,’ she shares.

Her commitment has not only raised awareness and support for BGCNWS in Barrington but has also reinforced the message that believing in a child’s potential can create a ripple effect of generational change. She encourages others to get involved, knowing that investing in our youth today leads to a brighter, stronger tomorrow.
