On December 3, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs proudly opened its new Panda Cares Center of Hope, a dedicated learning and enrichment space designed to support youth in academic growth, creativity, and hands-on exploration beyond the school day.
The celebration marked the culmination of a national partnership between Panda Cares, Panda Express, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and local Club sites, all committed to advancing academic success for young people across the country. Club members enjoyed activity stations, book giveaways, custom Panda Cares swag, and a delicious meal generously provided by Panda Express. Local Panda team volunteers helped lead games, distribute items, and serve food throughout the event.
The afternoon began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Boys & Girls Clubs CEO Amanda, who shared the significance of expanding dedicated academic environments for youth. We were also honored to welcome Illinois State Representative Suzanne Ness, whose support for youth development and community learning initiatives reinforces the importance of creating spaces that empower children and teens to thrive.
The new Center of Hope will provide meaningful, ongoing opportunities for homework support, tutoring, reading, and interactive learning experiences—all designed to help members stay on track academically, gain confidence, and prepare for future success.
