We’re thrilled to announce two incredible additions to our leadership team. Please join us in welcoming Jason Leppin as our new Chief Development Officer and Juan Jimenez as our new Controller.
About Jason
Jason brings a wealth of experience in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and nonprofit leadership. He has worked with organizations ranging from emerging start-ups to well-established nonprofits, particularly in the education sector. His leadership has consistently helped organizations grow through strategic development efforts and meaningful donor relationships.
Jason is especially skilled in guiding boards through securing major gifts and pledges, and he is passionate about building a culture of philanthropy at every level. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and professional certifications in Fundraising Executive, Nonprofit Leadership, and Business Administration. Jason is also an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
About Juan
Juan brings a strong background in financial and operational leadership, with a track record of managing complex accounting processes and overseeing budgets up to $70 million. He holds a Master of Public Administration, a Master’s in Financial and Accounting Management, and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. His unique combination of expertise reflects both strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of people and systems.
Juan is bilingual in English and Spanish, further strengthening his ability to connect across diverse teams and communities. His expertise includes month-end closings, budget development and tracking, and implementing efficient accounting procedures. We’re especially excited for Juan to lead the creation of new standard operating procedures and professional development training around finances to help streamline our processes and build the skills of our team.
With their combined expertise and passion, Jason and Juan will play a key role in advancing our mission to empower youth, strengthen families, and enrich communities.
